About the Author

Jennifer Maksimovich

Jennifer Maksimovich lives in Pauma Valley, CA with her husband, Max, and her Italian Mastiff, Bella Blu.  Writing books has always been a calling, ever since she wrote The Pig Book by “Book Maker” Jennifer at age 5. And although she has no children of her own, she enjoys being a stepmom to 3 beautiful, artistic souls and a favorite Teta to 8 nieces and nephews, serendipitously adding up to her lucky number ‘11’!

The Chunkiest Angel

Betty didn’t think she was well suited for Angel Training Camp, but after contemplating her tiny angel wings while eating perfect chocolate chip cookies, she heard sobbing, so investigated. Thus began an adventure in helping another soul weather the COVID Pandemic, leading to Betty’s own understanding of her angelic role.

Two Shadows

Would you know what to do or how to get rid of a ghost? Would you welcome it or find a way to expel it from your life? And could you be sure this demonic presence was truly ‘ghosted’, gone from your life, or perhaps lingering nearby for continued terrorizing?

This story [Two Shadows] gave me goosebumps. Well written and easy to read. Makes you think twice about negative energy. Scarier that this is based on true events....

Jennifer’s first endeavor, The Chunkiest Angel, is an uplifting and inspirational book that addresses childhood difficulties. I’m confident that The Chunkiest Angel will be remembered by many little girls as they develop into moms with children of their own. Eventually, I believe every little girl will have her favorite Chunkiest Angel book. I have no doubt that Jennifer will continue to write more inspirational books. Keep those chocolate chip cookies coming.

I read The Chunkiest Angel to my granddaughters ages 7, 9 , & 11 and they loved the story as much as I did. It touches on relatable issues from body image to loneliness and isolation during the Covid pandemic. Betty, the chunky angel, comes down to earth to help solve Rose’s problem and in turn helps herself, too. The book is beautifully illustrated and no doubt will become a classic that belongs in every library.
